Note: This article describes functionality that requires Digital Twins to be activated in your subscription plan. Please contact Empower for any questions, or reach out to your assigned contact at Empower.

1. Go to "Process" in Empower Tracking

Log in to Empower Tracking (https://tracking.empower.eco) and go to the Process option to create Digital Twins from material in your inventory (note that this assumes you have already registered the material throughout the value chain and now possess it in the inventory of your organization account).

2. Choose the correct material from your Inventory

In this example, we're using "Marine litter - sorted plastics" from the inventory.

3. Choose the amount of KGs

In this example, we're using 400 KGs (of the total 500 KGs in the inventory).

4. Click on "Next, set output" in the upper right corner

5. Set output data for the Digital Twins - Part 1

  • Make sure to select "Digital Twins" (not Mass Balance)

  • Insert the name of the Digital Twins, typically the product name.

6. Specify the number of Digital Twins (Products)

The number of Digital Twins typically correlates with the number of products. In this example, we're creating 50 Digital Twins (for 50 products).

7. Specify the amount of Material going into each product (Digital Twin)

In this case, we choose the "Total" method; this means how much material (usually KG) we used for all the products, which automatically calculates how much material went into each Digital Twin (product).

8. Specifying the total amount (KG)

In this case, we specify 400 KGs, which was the same amount as we specified from the input. Meaning we've had no production loss in the final product. If you've had production loss, make sure to specify a lower number here to reflect this.

9. Click "View Details" to review your data so far

10. Review the Details and click "Hide" to proceed

In this example, we see it's calculated 8 KG of material into each Digital Twin (product).

11. Click "Next"

12. Add the correct time/date and other metadata on the final screen

In the final screen, edit any relevant data to reflect your setting;

  • Change the date/time to when you produced the products

  • If needed, change the production location

  • Add any comment relevant to the process

13. Click "CONFIRM"

14. Confirmation screen - You're done
