Examples of high-quality photos and videos
This sub-section shows pictures and videos examples you can capture to strengthen the impact content registered on the platform.
1. Examples of high-quality photos of cleanup/collection effort:
The photos below show examples of high-quality photos your organization can capture and upload to increase the visibility of the effort you are making by collecting/cleaning up plastic waste. They are categorized as: before, during, and after effort. Many pictures examples here show scheduled cleanup events, but similar pictures can also be used for collection efforts where the material comes from households, dumpsites, businesses etc. "In-action" photos are generally more attractive for Funding Organizations, when it comes to Plastic Credits.
2. Examples of photos prior to cleaning an area:
Scenery - show the location, environment, and trash.
Details of plastic trash
3. Examples of photos during the cleanup/collection event:
Group photo of everyone attending the cleanup, showing the waste collected.
People cleaning plastic from the location (wide shot and closeup faces, hands doing work, carrying plastic etc.)
The collection point (wide angle showing the spot + some detail shots)
Delivery/weighing of plastic waste at the collection point
Show the collection point team and how they receive, weigh, and register the plastic waste.
Show the collected plastic
If possible; packing/sorting/transportation photos of the collected waste
Other relevant or interesting scenes.
4. After event
Some shots of the location, showing the clean results
High-quality media & your visibility on the marketplace
Uploading high-quality photos and videos helps your credits stand out and increases your chances of attracting sponsors through the Empower Marketplace.
Why This Matters
Projects and credit batches with clear, engaging media are more likely to be noticed by sponsors browsing the marketplace.
Strong documentation will help you get exposed and pitch your projects to potential sponsors.
What Makes a Good Photo or Video?
Shows the material collected, the people involved, and the location
Is clear, well-lit, and tells a visual story of your impact
Goes beyond documentation - it helps sponsors connect to your work.
Tips
Always upload strong project photos - they are your public profile on the marketplace.
For each credit batch, in addition to required documentation (scale, picker, close-up, wide view), you're encouraged to include extra high-quality content that can support storytelling.
🔴Important Reminder
Note: All photo and video uploads must accurately represent the specific materials and activities being registered.
Reusing images across different credit batches, uploading stock photos, or submitting manipulated files is strictly prohibited.
Empower performs checks on:
Metadata (date and location) embedded in files
File naming consistency
Visual match between photo and material data submitted
Misuse of visual documentation may result in credit request rejection and can lead to a permanent ban from the Empower platform.
Always upload original files, never screenshots or edited images, to ensure metadata remains intact.
