What is the Empower Deposit app (beta)?
The Deposit app (beta) enables individuals/participants to scan QR codes for participation in cleanup/collection events, get reward tokens and possibly redeem incentives (coupons) at selected event partners.
Note: Empower is not responsible for any information, incentive rewards or similar provided in the app. Reach out to your event organiser and coupon providers for further support. Please read here the detailed disclaimer.
Quick guide for individual participants:
Scan the QR-code provided by the event organiser (you can either scan with your mobile camera or use the scan function within the app).
Open the page from the QR-code and login to your Empower Deposit app account (or signup if you don't have a account).
Confirm your event participation, and receive your reward tokens.
That's it! You have now received your first reward tokens in your wallet. Now you can explore the wallet and rewards page and see if you have enough tokens to redeem rewards from the organiser/partners. Learn more below.
Where do I find the app?
The Empower Deposit web app is accessed from: deposit.empower.eco
Once logged in in your smartphone, you can easily add the app to your home screen shown here.

The Deposit app consist of four key functionalities:
In addition you can also use the transfer page to send tokens to another user. This is only relevant in special cases the event organiser will inform about.
Scan QR-code
Scan code (Step 1/2)
When you're attending an event, the organiser will present the QR code to scan to participants. You can either scan the code directly from the app, or from your camera to be directed to the app.

Confirm participation (step 2/2)
 Upon QR scan, you need to confirm your participation on the screen shown. |  You will then see how many Tokens you've received. Then, go back to your wallet to see your balance and explore potential Rewards. |
Wallet

Coupons page
 The Coupons page when there are no Rewards associated to the events you have attended. |
 If you received tokens, one or several Coupons will pop up on the page. If you have a sufficient amount of tokens for a Coupon, you can Redeem it (the "Redeem now" button will become active). |
Redeeming a coupon
 After Redeeming, show the Coupon proof to the Cashier / Coupon provider on-site. Important: this screen will only show once! Allow the Cashier to see it, if not click it away. |
 Tip: After redeeming the Coupon, your token will be spent and you can see this reflected in the Wallet history page. |
General note: Make sure to follow the specific instructions from your event organiser, as there might be important local variations and considerations for how potential Coupons can be used and retrieved, and other possible limitations.
